Cinderella's Sonnet

(This is an English assignment, and no... I'm not that cheesy or depressing.  I wanted extra credit kay?)

Constrained tears doth fight to roll down mine face,
Heartstrings pulling beyond physical might,
Awesome beauty shineth, my mind doth race,
Mine tears release, I am alone to fight.

I yearn to dance and hold thine precious hand,
But alas! She wins the well fought battle.
And my mind slips through time quickly like sand,
Rescue me, knight, as my spirits rattle.

Midnight strikes, I watch for a new found hope,
Catching a glorious, assuring smile,
And as you turn toward me, I start to cope,
A hand thrusts out, grasping mine for a while

And during these moments my heart doth prance,
For Ella of Cinders has earned her dance.
